Resurrection Ship

                        I fail symbology
and heartmending, but the bad
exam dreams are yours.

Adrift in the imperfection of
            the extra atom–

                                    my defect fears,

our crystalline symmetry

                        embodied

            in the empty between.

I can get through a test
                                    but not your dream.

You change masks,
prepare for a new
            worldpressure.

I delay in our chamber

                        of estrangement,

synchronized

            to migration chaos —

the shared darkness of the body.

            I can get through skysorrow,
planet birth, even escape velocity.

I can get through —

                        I can get through again

                        to our galaxyglow.
